Rates of COVID-19 Cases and Deaths by Vaccination Status
- People who were unvaccinated have a greater risk of testing positive and a greater risk of dying from COVID-19 than people who were vaccinated with the initial series of vaccine – this was true across all age groups.
- A benefit of the primary series plus booster over just the primary series can be seen for deaths, especially among older ages.
Data & graphs from: https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#rates-by-vaccine-status Note that solid black lines are unvaccinated, dashed blue lines are vaccinated with primary series only, and solid blue lines are vaccinated with a primary series and a booster dose.
